When there are many challenges in learning a new language, our lack of confidence may be the most detrimental. Our quest to master English can be especially frustrating when uncertainty and hesitancy prevent us from progressing. Although there are social platforms to converse with people globally, locals still get nervous behind the screen. Many believe that OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon prime video and many more will help them to improve their English language, but they ignore the fact that they need a proper platform to guide them. To develop one’s basic speaking skills to advance level- Sanjeevana Institute for Career Advancement- provides the “Spoken English and Soft Skills Course.” The institute has well-qualified faculty to guide one’s journey to speak European language with confidence.
1. Learn and Repeat: We all have a comfortable language in which we speak. But with us, you will get comfortable with the English language as well. Rather than passively speaking the language, we will make you pay attention with the technicalities of language i.e. grammar. Without grammar one cannot master the language. We will have a grammar session with you, you can pause the session and ask for doubts. Or, even better, we will provide you with worksheets to practice grammar so that you will get a basic understanding of the language. Listen to the faculty delivering a lecture and repeat your understanding of the lectures in your worksheets.
2. Find a Friend: It might be challenging to practice alone, especially when trying to get better at speaking. You will find a group of friends or classmates in Sanjeevana Institute's classes who share the same desire to improve their English-speaking confidence. When you go to classes, there will be an imposition of the "English Only" rule, which requires that everyone speak only English for the next hour or so. You will feel more secure to open out and speak English without being constrained by insecurities with such a support network.
3. Read out Loud: We Will spend at least 15 minutes every day reading, followed by another 15 minutes of reading aloud, whether you choose a novel or a work of nonfiction. This is a fantastic approach to improve your reading comprehension while honing your pronunciation and intonation of different terms and sentence lengths. Simply ask the faculty if you are not sure how to pronounce a few words. But try no to focus too much on the specifics of each and every word you do not comprehend. Reading aloud gives you the opportunity to practice pronunciation with your own comfort. Hence, improving your speaking confidence.
4. Do not be afraid of making Mistakes: Keep in mind that mistakes are acceptable. Simply pause and take a few breaths before continuing if you feel yourself fumbling over lengthy or difficult terms. The very fact that you are able to communicate in a language other than your mother tongue should be cause for celebration. The secret to speaking English fluently is practice—plenty and lots of practice—just like with any challenging undertaking. Be constant in your language learning and schedule some time each day to practice speaking English! Sanjeevana Institute is always here to help you in learning and practicing.
